Racing on a Higher Level
Best Way to Start It
There was an easy way to get good start on this game.irst of all you must get the licence, like licence A, B, C, intra, intB.After that you can find another licence, S licence. after that buy some cheap car but have a good quality like MAZDA RX-7 and take it to events session and beat all the track.
I find best way to start out is with a used mitsubishi 3000gt and slowly soup it up. Race the muscle car races, and sell the cars that you win to further soup up the 3000gt. After you have made a million dollars the best car to buy is the toyota gt one. Buy the stage four turbo for it and you will a 975 horsepower car. It can take the turns on the test track at 240+ miles per hour. Once you have this car, you can do anything. The second best car is the suzuki escudo 2 million dollar car, which is fast, but handles bad (except when used on rally).
Fast Cars
The Toyota GT-ONE road version is best handling car in the game. It can do about 395-405km/h in the corners of Test course, and it can do about 430km/h in Test course. The one of the fastest car in the game is the HKS 180SX DRAG, it can do 445km/h in Test course. You can achieve this with the right gear ratios and down force.
To get a fast car simply enter the Tuned Turbo Championship and go to the Test Track Race and win it , the best car for this task is the Escudo Pikes Peak. When you win it you will get a Skiline, but if you race it again you will win a skyline with a Max. HPB of 1011.
Not really a cheat but it is good, When you win the GT500 you will win a car, and you might not race in it again because you have got that car, but there are four different cars to win. This is also in the GT300 and the Gran Turismo World Cup.
The fastest car in the game is 180sx drag car, but won't turn very well, the best is probably the gt one road version with a level 4 turbo, then the escudo.
The GT90 is won in the 100miles seattle race,or the ford escort because the prize is random.
You know the Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec well by it. DON'T CUSTOMISE IT YET!!! Go to the first option (mufflers, air filters) and by the racing one. Then, by the brakes and brake controllers. After By every thing in the engine option. Then proceed to transmission by a racing transmission and a twin clutch and a racing flywheel then the drive shaft. Then turbo kit # 4 and high capacity intercooler. Suspension racing, stabilizers hard. Tires hard/soft. By every thing in others and you're set Now you have a 941 hp car. It can go to 245km/h
When you are in UK VS US, if you already have a concept car (Dodge Copperhead) you will blow away each car in the dust. The car has the best handling. Now you can race and win some more money.
To get all your cars to go faster, all you have to do is get all sixty gold licenses and each cars horse power should increase by at least 50 horse power.
FASTEST CAR: When you get 2million credits, get the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak car, top speed of about 400Kmh the fastest car in the game. takes the test track corners at about 365-380Kmh.
When you have made a million dollars the best car to buy is the toyota gt one road car. Buy the stage four turbo for it and you will have a 975 horsepower car. It can take the turns on the test track at 240+ miles per hour. The second best car is the suzuki escudo 2 million dollar car, witch is fast, but handles bad
Licence's
If your having trouble getting the licenses. Just stick in a memory card with saved data from the first gran turismo. And 'ping' there you go you should have the licenses ready to race with. This should be of help to most people as the licenses are much harder to acquire on Gran Turismo 2.

Easy Money
And a good way of getting money is winning loads of TVR speed twelve's from the gt all stars 3rd race, and the last in the mr championship you can win the GT40 and sell it for 250,000, the best car to use in that is a tommy kaira ZZ2.
This is an easy way to get money in gran turismo 2. Firstly, after you have acquired a decent car, go to the gran turismo All Stars completion in the special event category. Then pick Red Rock Valley as your race. Then after you've successfully won the race you will automatically win 50,000 credits. Here is the good part, check your garage, and you will find that you have acquired a "Speed 12" car worth 500,000 credits! sell it and you've then won a total of 550,000 credits on a single, 5 lap race!
First you need a MR car, Then go to race and race the MR race with the car. You are allowed up to 591 horsepower in the race. Race Red Rock Valley until you win. When you win you will win 15,000 credits, but you will also win a Ford gt40 race car. Race the same race with this car and you will win very easily, and you will win another Ford gt40 race car, sell it and you will now have 250,000 credits more than what you had. Keep doing this and you will eventually be able to buy any car in the game, except for the one's that you have to win.
Get the 2million credits Suzuki Escudo car and get the A international licence and the go onto the Tuned Car Turbo No 1 Cup and got to the test track. If you win you get 50,000 Credits and sometimes a 250,000 Credits car or you get a 20,000 Credits car.
